Greenville, S.C. – The third-seeded Furman men's soccer team is scheduled to face the No. 6 seed Wofford Terriers in the quarterfinals of the SoCon Men's Soccer Championship on Friday, November 5 at 7 p.m. from Mercer's Betts Stadium in Macon, Ga.
The Paladins, 6-8-1 overall and 4-2 in SoCon play this season, clinched the No. 3 seed after finishing the regular season on a three-game winning streak and also won their final three conference games capped by a 3-0 victory at VMI on October 30.

Wofford advanced to the quarterfinals after defeating No. 7 seed VMI, 2-0, on Monday in Spartanburg. The Terriers finished the regular season with a 4-10-1 overall record and went 1-4-1 against SoCon opponents.
The Paladins are facing Wofford for the 56
th time in program history and holds a 39-14-2 lead in the all-time series. Furman defeated the Terriers, 3-1, in the first meeting this season on October 16 in Spartanburg.
Jacob Garzon and
Jake Raine scored second half goals to lead the Paladins while
Josh Hosie and
Alfredo Diaz-Santillan each had an assist. In goal,
Ben Roberts recorded seven saves.
The winner of Friday's matchup will advance to the semifinals and face No. 2 seed Mercer on Sunday, November 7 at 2 p.m. in Macon.
