GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Furman tight end
Ryan Miller continued his haul of All-America accolades today by being named to the Stats Perform FCS All-America Team, it has been announced.
Miller, a 6-foot-2, 221-pound redshirt junior, who last week landed Associated Press FCS All-America third team honors, was a third team selection by Stats Perform. Â The All-America pick was his second by both the AP and Stats Perform in 2021, which covered both the spring and fall seasons.
He is the 11th two-time All-America football player in Furman history.
The Jackson, Tenn., product backed up his spring season with a superb fall campaign, catching a team leading 43 passes for 749 yards and seven touchdowns. The consensus first team All-Southern Conference selection averaged a league best 17.4 yards per catch, topped by an 87-yard scoring grab in the Paladins' 29-18, season opening win over North Carolina A&T. Â He also recorded a 58-yard touchdown reception in a 24-14 win over The Citadel and was on the receiving end of a 51-yard scoring connection in the Paladins' 41-34, season ending victory over Samford.
Miller has 79 receptions in his career for 1,384 yards and 16 touchdowns, his receiving yards ranking 18th and scoring grabs tying for fourth all-time at Furman.
