Greenville, S.C. – The Furman volleyball team closes out a four-match road trip on Sunday and Monday when it travels to Chattanooga, Tenn. for a two-match series against the Chattanooga Mocs from Maclellan Gym.
Match times for Sunday and Monday are both slated for 4 p.m.

Furman (2-2, 2-2 SoCon) is back in action for the first time since Feb. 7-8 when it swept a two-match series at The Citadel by scores of 3-0 and 3-2.
Mikaela Schultz led the Paladins offensively with 27 kills over the two matches, highlighted by a career-high 15 in the series-opening 3-0 victory.
Maya Mrus also set a new career-high in the first match of the series finishing with 10 digs while tying her career-high of eight kills.
Katie Murphy dished out 78 assists and
Andrea Aceveda contributed 44 digs during the series.
Following her defensive performance at The Citadel, Aceveda was honored by the Southern Conference twice last week. She was named the SoCon Defensive Player of the Week on Feb. 9 and, the following day, received SoCon Student-Athlete of the Week accolades.
Neci Harris leads the Furman offense this season with 49 kills and is averaging 2.88 kills per set. Murphy adds 164 assists for a 9.65 assists per set average. Defensively, Aceveda has a team-leading 80 digs (4.71 per set) while Harris contributes 16.0 total blocks (four solo, 12 assisted).
Chattanooga currently sits at 4-4 on the season and 2-4 in SoCon play after being swept last weekend on the road at Western Carolina. Gylian Finch leads the Mocs offensively with 91 kills and is averaging 3.50 kills per set. Sophia Bossong has dished out 292 assists (8.85 per set) while Paige Gallentine adds 160 digs (4.85 per set). Maia Rackel leads the team with 29.0 total blocks (eight solo, 21 assisted). Chattanooga is under the direction of 10
th-year head coach Travis Filar.
The Paladins and Mocs have met 71 times previously in program history with Furman leading the all-time series 47-24. The Paladins swept the season series last year defeating Chattanooga by identical 3-2 scores.
Furman returns home for four straight matches beginning Feb. 28-Mar. 1 hosting UNC Greensboro in a two-match series.
