Full Capacity Planned For Furman's Paladin Stadium This Fall

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Furman University's Paladin Stadium will be opened for full capacity this fall, it was announced today by director of athletics Jason Donnelly.

The move to full capacity for the 2021 football season, which features five home games, comes after the university announced plans to move to its "Green: Normal Operations Phase" beginning on Aug. 1.  Paladin Stadium boasts a capacity of 14,518.

"Furman Athletics is excited to return to full capacity and normal operations this fall," said Donnelly.  "We appreciate the commitment to health and safety demonstrated by our students, faculty and staff this past year and the passionate support from our alumni and fans. We are looking forward to sharing a new and improved game day experience for our Furman Family and Greenville community."
 
Paladin fans are invited to renew or purchase season tickets online by clicking HERE, calling the Furman Ticket Office (864) 294-3099, or by emailing tickets@furman.edu to begin the purchasing process and get more information.

Head coach Clay Hendrix's Paladins kick off the 2021 campaign in Paladin Stadium on Sept. 4 versus North Carolina A&T. Furman will host Southern Conference opponent Mercer on Sept. 25, and follow with home games against The Citadel (Oct. 16), East Tennessee State (Oct. 23) and VMI (Nov. 13).

This season fans have the opportunity to purchase season tickets in the premium Purple Section (sections 3 & 8), which boasts best chair-back seats in Paladin Stadium and features extended leg room.  In addition, Purple Section season ticket holders will gain priority access to tickets to the Sept. 18 N.C. State game (7:30 p.m. kickoff), post-season playoffs, and premium concessionary opportunities.

The 2021 season will feature a renewed emphasis on fan experience via the "Furman Fan Zone." Free to the public, the Furman Fan Zone will feature live music, food trucks, tailgate games, inflatables, family-friendly activities, and premium tailgate opportunities, which are all part of the improvements made inside Paladin Stadium over the last year, including enhanced seating, improved accessibility, and branding.

Fans can further support Paladin student-athletes by making a donation to the Furman Athletics Fund HERE, designating gifts to scholarships, program-specific needs, or facility enhancements.
