Greenville, S.C. – The Furman men's soccer team welcomes the USC Upstate Spartans to Stone Stadium on Saturday evening for a non-conference contest at 7 p.m.

Tickets for Saturday's contest are $5 and can be purchased at www.furmanpaladins.com or at the Stone Stadium entrance one hour prior to kickoff. Tickets for Furman students are free with their student ID.
The Paladins (1-2) dropped a 3-1 decision at Stone Stadium Monday evening to Winthrop.
Alfredo Diaz-Santillan scored his first goal of the season in the 39
th minute with
Miles Fenton earning his first assist.
Jake Raine attempted a team-high four shots for Furman while
Dylan Lane contributed three.
Ben Roberts grabbed five saves in goal.
The Paladins held a 14-13 advantage in shots during the contest and led 8-6 in corner kicks.
Raine leads Furman offensively this season with three points on one goal and one assist. Diaz-Santillan and Lane both have two points on one goal. Fenton and
Josh Hosie each contribute one assist. In goal, Roberts has recorded 12 saves.
USC Upstate currently sits at 0-3-1 on the season and is coming off a 0-0 draw at College of Charleston on Wednesday. Mario Arrocha leads the Spartans on offense with two points on one goal. Goalkeeper Luca Bulfon has made 12 saves. USC Upstate is under the direction of fifth-year head coach Scott Halkett.
The Paladins and Spartans are meeting for the 15
th time in program history Saturday with Furman leading the all-time series 9-3-2. The Paladins recorded a 2-0 victory last season in Spartanburg. The last time the two teams met in Greenville saw Furman earn a 4-1 victory on September 21, 2019.
The Paladins end their four-game homestand on Wednesday, September 15 hosting Davidson at 7 p.m.
