Greenville, S.C. – The Furman volleyball team resumes play at the SoCon Volleyball Championship this weekend beginning on Friday afternoon when the No. 8 seed Paladins face top-seeded East Tennessee State in the quarterfinals at 2 p.m. from Timmons Arena.
Fans can follow the action on www.furmanpaladins.com via live stats. The match is being streamed via paid subscription on ESPN+. Updates will also be posted on the Furman volleyball Twitter page (@FurmanVB).
Tickets for the match are $10 for adults and $5 for kids. An all-tournament pass is also available for $30. Students from SoCon schools receive free admission with their school ID. Click

The Paladins (9-18) opened tournament play on Monday with a 3-1 (25-21, 20-25, 25-7, 25-19) victory over No. 9 seed UNC Greensboro at Alley Gymnasium.
Mary Beth Headley and
Lauren Haynes, who was named to the SoCon All-Freshman Team on Thursday, both recorded double-doubles to lead Furman in the win against UNCG. Headley paced the Paladin offense with her ninth double-double of the season on 13 kills and 13 digs while Haynes tallied her fourth double-double after recording 12 kills and a career high 22 digs.
Morgan Cobb added nine kills and
Andrea Aceveda 16 digs.
Sarah Turner compiled 24 assists and eight digs while
Ella Abraham dished out 19 assists.
East Tennessee State received the No. 1 seed for the SoCon Volleyball Championship after finishing the regular season with a 21-7 overall record while going 15-1 in the SoCon.
Furman is facing the Buccaneers for the 68
th time in program history with ETSU leading the all-time series 36-31. East Tennessee State swept the regular season series over the Paladins, winning 3-0 in Johnson City, Tenn. on September 24 and 3-0 in Greenville on October 21.
The winner of the Furman-ETSU game will face either No. 4 Chattanooga or No. 5 Wofford in the semifinals Saturday at 5 p.m.
