2022 SoCon Championship Bracket

Greenville, S.C. –
The Furman men's soccer team begins play in the 2022 Southern Conference Men's Soccer Championship on Friday at 4 p.m. when the fifth seeded Paladins face No. 4 seed Wofford in quarterfinal round action at UNCG Stadium in Greensboro, N.C.

The winner of Friday's contest advances to face No. 1 seed UNC Greensboro in the semifinal round on Sunday at 2 p.m. in Greensboro.

Furman enters the postseason at 6-6-4 after claiming a 2-1 victory over VMI in the regular season finale for both schools on Saturday night at Stone Stadium. Callum Allison opened the scoring for the Paladins and senior Sam Miller broke a 1-1 tie in the second half by scoring the eventual match-winning goal off a free kick.

Friday's first round bout will mark the 58th all-time meeting between the Paladins and Terriers with Furman holding a 40-15-2 series lead. Wofford downed the Paladins 2-0 at Stone Stadium in the regular season meeting between the schools on October 15, but Furman sports a 5-1-1 record in the last seven meetings against their instate rivals.

Wofford, 6-8-2 on the season, concluded regular season play Saturday evening with a 2-1 home loss to the nationally-ranked Spartans at Snyder Field in Spartanburg, S.C.

Friday's opening round match and Sunday's semifinal round contest will both be streamed live on ESPN+. Live statistics will be available through StatBroadcast.
