ATLANTA, GA. -- Bianca Jackson scored a game high 21 points, and Georgia Tech used a strong first half to pull away en route to an 82-41 win over Furman in women's basketball action Wednesday afternoon at the McCamish Center.
The win improves Georgia Tech to 9-3 on the season while Furman ends the 2022 portion of its schedule with a 7-7 slate. Â The Paladins' next game is on New Year's Day, when they play host to South Carolina State at Timmons Arena.
Jackson's 21-point peformance featured 8-of-12 shooting, including 3-of-5 from 3-point range, and conversions on a pair of free throws as Tech shot 41.4 percent from the field (29x70) and took advantage of 20 Furman turnovers to forge a 22-7 scoring advantage on miscues.
Cameron Swartz and Tonie Morgan finished with 11 points each for the Yellow Jackets.
Sydney James paced Furman with eight points and a game high 11 rebounds.
The Paladins connected on just 17-of-62 shots (27.4%) and just 1-of-19 attempts from 3-point range.
