LYNCHBURG, VA. -- Furman sophomore Megan Marvin set a new PR in the mile Saturday at the Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational hosted by Liberty in Lynchburg, Va.
Marvin posted a time of 4:39.40 for third place in the event, taking three and a half seconds off her previous personal best. Junior Nicole Matysik was 25th in the event at 5:05.84, and freshman Callie Harper finished 40th with a time of 5:14.07.
In the men's mile, freshman Matthew Smith placed 39th with a time of 4:16.13, and junior Mac Roberts was 45th at 4:17.46. Junior Evin McEntee placed 11th in the triple jump with a mark of 13.25 (43-05.57).
The Paladins will compete at the Southern Conference Championships in Lexington, Va., Feb. 27-26.
