Greenville, S.C. – The Furman men's soccer team opens the 2022 season this week in Houston, Texas, at the HBU Invitational, hosted by Houston Baptist University.
The four-team tournament, which features games on Thursday and Saturday, has been moved from Houston Baptist's campus to the AVEVA Stadium, it was announced this week. Furman will face HBU at 8:30 p.m. ET on Thursday before clashing with Incarnate Word at 6 p.m. ET on Saturday.
The Paladins claimed an exhibition victory over Mars Hill to open their preseason and dropped a home contest to Clemson. Furman wrapped up the preseason this past weekend with a 0-0 draw at North Florida.

Josh Hosie lead a solid group of returnees for the Paladins, who were tabbed the league's coaches to finish second in the SoCon race. After a trip to Gardner-Webb on September 2, Furman opens its home schedule versus North Greenville on September 6.
