Men's Soccer Returns Home To Host Presbyterian Tuesday Night

Kickoff Scheduled For 6 P.M. At Stone Stadium

Greenville, S.C. – The Furman men's soccer team, unbeaten in its last four matches, returns to Seagraves Field and Stone Soccer Stadium on Tuesday night when it entertains the Presbyterian Blue Hose in non-conference action. Kickoff is slated for 6 p.m. and the match will be streamed live on ESPN+.

Furman moved to 7-3-2 overall and 2-0-1 in Southern Conference play on Saturday night when it earned a 0-0 draw versus the Mercer Bears in Macon, Ga. The tie marked Furman's fourth consecutive clean sheet and left the Paladins in a deadlock atop to the SoCon standings with ETSU, who the Paladins will host on Saturday night.

The Paladins' four straight clean sheets and 388-minute shutout streak represent their longest run without surrendering a goal since reeling off six straight shutouts in 2014. Furman established an NCAA record with 11 consecutive shutouts en route to a spot in the NCAA Tournament round of 16 in 2002.

Tuesday night's match marks the 20th meeting between Furman and Presbyterian with the Paladins maintaining a 14-4-1 series advantage. Presbyterian claimed a 2-1 victory in last season's meeting in Greenville after netting a pair of goals in the opening 30 minutes. The Blue Hose are 5-7-1 overall and 2-2-1 in the Big South after a 2-1 home defeat versus Winthrop on Saturday.

Following Tuesday's match, Furman concludes its regular season home schedule on Saturday at 7 p.m. when it hosts ETSU for Senior Night at Stone Stadium.
