Furman's Salinas Included In Top Drawer Soccer Top 100 Freshmen List

Freshman Has Helped Furman To Four Straight Shutouts

Greenville, S.C. – Furman goalkeeper Aaron Salinas has been included on the Top Drawer Soccer Top 100 Freshmen list, it was announced this week at TopDrawerSoccer.com.

Salinas, No. 77 on the list of the top freshmen, has posted a 1.10 goals against average and four solo shutouts in nine appearances this season. The Grand Prairie, Texas, native has recorded three consecutive clean sheets to help Furman to four straight shutouts and a streak of over 388 minutes without allowing a goal.

Furman moved to 7-3-2 overall and 2-0-1 in Southern Conference play on Saturday night when it earned a 0-0 draw versus the Mercer Bears in Macon, Ga. The tie marked Furman's fourth consecutive clean sheet and left the Paladins in a deadlock atop to the SoCon standings with ETSU, who the Paladins will host on Saturday night.

The Furman men's soccer team (7-3-2, 2-0-1 SoCon), unbeaten in its last four matches, returns to Seagraves Field and Stone Soccer Stadium on Tuesday night when it entertains the Presbyterian Blue Hose in non-conference action. Kickoff is slated for 6 p.m. and the match will be streamed live on ESPN+.
