Greenville, S.C. – The Furman volleyball team returns to the road this weekend when it travels to Chattanooga and Mercer for a pair of Southern Conference matches.
The Paladins open the weekend on Friday with a 6 p.m. first serve at Chattanooga before heading to Mercer on Saturday for another 6 p.m. match.

The Paladins (12-3, 3-1 SoCon) fought back from two sets down last Saturday against Samford and rallied back for a 3-2 victory over the Bulldogs at Alley Gymnasium. The win was Furman's first triumph over Samford since November 10, 2017.
Lauren Haynes notched 15 kills and 17 digs to lead the Paladins with her third double-double of the season.
Kennedy Seekford matched Haynes' 17 digs.
Ella Abraham paced Furman with 40 assists, and Haynes and
Grainne McGrath each tallied six blocks. McGrath added 14 kills, followed by
Lindsay Walch, who posted 12.
Izzy Castelloe hit .476 to lead the Paladins, scoring 10 kills.
Chattanooga enters the weekend with a 14-5 overall record while Mercer sits at 6-9 for the season. Both teams currently have a 2-2 record in Southern Conference play.
Furman leads the all-time series over Chattanooga 51-28 and holds a 21-12 advantage against Mercer.
The Paladins host The Citadel and UNC Greensboro next weekend, October 13-14, at Alley Gymnasium.
