JONESBOROUGH, Tenn. -- Zach Frazer (-3) is tied for eighth to lead the Furman (-3) men's golf team after Monday's second round of the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate, which is being held this week at the par 72, 7,118 yard Blackthorn Club at the Ridges in Jonesborough, Tenn.

A sophomore from Coppell, Texas, Frazer teed off on No. 1 and No. 4 and No. 5.  After turning at even par, he birdied No. 13 and No. 18 to finish the day with a 1-under 71 and a team-high four birdies.  He sits nine strokes behind leader Mats Ege (-12) of ETSU, who extended his margin with scores of 62-70=132.

Sophomore Harris Barth (E) is tied for 20th after shooting a 1-over 73 with birdies on No. 4 and No. 7 on Monday.  Senior Ross Funderburke (+2) and junior Will Morlan (+2) are tied for 36th place after two rounds.  Morlan tallied a 76 with birdies on No. 5 and No. 14 in round two, while Funderburke added a 79 with a birdie on No. 10.   Junior Trey Diehl (+6) recorded a 75 with three birdies and is tied for 71st with 18 holes to play.  

The Paladins are in third place behind host ETSU (-13), which ranks 11th nationally, and Charlotte (-10).  Georgia Southern (-2) and College of Charleston (-2) are tied for fourth place.  

The 54-hole tournament will conclude on Tuesday beginning at 8:30 a.m.  The Paladins will tee off of No. 1 starting at 10:10 a.m. and will play in a group with ETSU and Charlotte.
