GREENVILLE,S.C. -- Furman's Nov. 18 football game at Wofford has been picked as the Ingles Southern Conference Game of the Week and will air on select Nexstar affiliates through the Southeast, it was announced today.

Kickoff for the 97th renewal of the Deep South's oldest football rivalry, which began in 1889, is set for noon at Wofford's Gibbs Stadium.

The Paladins lead the all-time series 56-33-7 and have won the last two meetings, including a 63-28 verdict a year ago in Greenville.  Two years ago Furman knocked off Wofford in Spartanburg, 42-20.

Furman (8-1, 6-0 SoCon), a consensus No. 2 in this week's AFCA and Stats Perform FCS Top 25 Polls, is coming off a 17-14 road triumph over then No. 13 Chattanooga that earned the Paladins the league's automatic berth to the FCS playoffs and at least a share of the SoCon championship.  Winners of seven straight and 12 consecutive conference games, Furman can make its title outright with a victory over VMI, which the Paladins entertain at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, or Wofford in the regular season finale.

All broadcasts in the Nexstar package air concurrently on either ESPN+ or ESPN3.

Nexstar affiliates carrying that contest are ECBD/The Lowcountry's CW (Charleston), WMYT/My 12 (Charlotte), WWCW/The CW Virginia (Lynchburg/Roanoke) and WYCW/The CW62 (Greenville/Spartanburg/Asheville). Though not a Nexstar affiliate, WMUB (Macon) will also carry the game.

Pete Yanity will provide play-by-play and Jay Sonnhalter will serve as analyst.
