Furman (5-6) looks for a return to the win column versus Presbyterian after suffering a heartbreaking 117-110 double overtime loss at Tulane on Thursday night. The Paladins rallied from a 16-point second half deficit against the Green Wave and grabbed a 92-89 lead on JP Pegues' triple with 0.8 seconds remaining in regulation, but Furman was whistled for a foul on a desperation three-point attempt and Tulane's Kevin Cross hit all three of his free throw attempts to force overtime. The Green Wave erased three Furman leads in double overtime by connecting on four consecutive threes to edge the Paladins.

Cross finished with a triple-double for Tulane with 25 points, 12 boards, and 12 assists. Pegues posted a career-high 29 points to go with six rebounds, and six assists to lead the Paladins while PJay Smith Jr. and Alex Williams contributed 23 points apiece in the loss.

Through 11 games this season, Furman ranks second in the league averaging 86.5 points per game. Marcus Foster, who has missed the Paladins' last three games due to a knee injury, leads Furman in scoring at 19.8 points per game. Pegues ranks fourth in the Southern Conference at 18.1 points per game and second in assists at 6.2 per game.

The Blue Hose dropped to 7-5 on the season with a 94-84 loss to Kennesaw State on Saturday afternoon. Presbyterian, a 68-62 winner in its opener versus Vanderbilt, has notched a pair of wins versus Southern Conference foes this season with a 71-64 victory of The Citadel and 75-71 triumph at VMI. Marquis Barnett leads the Blue Hose averaging 13.8 points per game.

After a 10-day break, Furman will return to action on Saturday, December 30, when it hosts the Anderson Trojans for a 2 p.m. tip-off in the non-conference finale at Timmons Arena.
