WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- All six members of the Furman indoor track and field team posted personal bests Saturday at the 11th annual Camel City Elite Races at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, N.C.
Juniors Carson Williams and Dylan Schubert competed in the elite 3,000m, where Williams placed fourth with a converted time of 7:49.88, which ranks 13th nationally, and Schubert finished sixth with a converted time of 7:52.10, good for 18th nationally.
In the elite mile, junior Megan Marvin finished fifth in the women's race, posting a converted time of 4:36.07, which ranks 21st nationally, and sophomore Matthew Smith placed ninth in the men's race with a converted time of 4:02.39.
Freshman Camryn Wennersten won the women's invitational mile with a converted time of 4:40.32, and senior Nick Epstein crossed the line in ninth place with a converted time of 4:06.85 in the men's invitational mile.
Furman will compete at Washington and Liberty next weekend.
