"My assistant coach, James Bartlett, and I are so proud of the team and effort of each of our players this year," said Furman head coach Matt Davidson.  "To end it the right way, with a great round today, felt amazing.  It looks like there will be more golf to play for us this year at NCAAs, so the guys are definitely starting to peak at the right time."

No. 34 East Tennessee State (-30) won the tournament by five strokes over 47th-ranked Chattanooga (-25) to earn the SoCon's automatic bid to the NCAA regionals.

Furman is also in position for a bid to the NCAA Regionals, which will be held May 15-17.  The NCAA field will be announced live on the Golf Channel on Wed., May 3, at 1 p.m.
