Furman's Miller Signs With Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Undrafted Free Agent

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Furman All-America tight end Ryan Miller announced Saturday evening that he has signed with Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent,

Miller, a 6-foot-2, 209-pound product of Jackson, Tenn. (University School of Jackson), earned consensus All-America honors in 2022, collecting scrolls from the AFCA, Associated Press, Stats Perform, ADA FCS, and Hero Sports.  He is the first three-time All-American in Furman football history.

He caught 72 passes for 762 yards and a school season record 12 touchdowns last fall in helping Furman to a 10-3 record and second round appearance in the FCS Playoffs.  The Paladins finished the season ranked No. 10 in polls conducted by the AFCA and Stats Perform.

Miller, who projects as a H-Back or slot receiver in the NFL, played in 54 games and made 43 starts during his Paladin tenure on the way to recording 151 receptions  (4th in FU history) for 2,146 yards (5th in FU history) and a school career standard 28 touchdown catches.

He tied a 53-year-old Furman record when he caught 13 passes, including a 25-yard touchdown grab, against then-FBS fifth-ranked Clemson on Sept. 10.  He recorded 15 touchdown catches in his final 16 games.

Tampa Bay won the NFC South Division in 2022 under first-year head coach Todd Bowles.
