GREENVILLE, S.C. -- The Furman track and field teams will compete at the Duke Invitational Friday and Saturday at the Morris Williams Track & Field Stadium in Durham, N.C.

On Friday, the Paladins will compete in the men's 200m, men's and women's 1,500m, men's and women's 5,000m, and the men's 3,000m Steeplechase.  Saturday's events include the women's 400m and 800m, the men's 100m hurdles and triple jump, and the men's and women's 400m hurdles.

The Paladins opened the season in late March at the Raleigh Relays and the USC Weems Baskin meet.  At Raleigh, senior Adam Beucler posted a personal-best time of 29:05.27 to finish 25th in the men's 10,000m, while sophomore Kaylie Armitage led the Paladins in the women's 1,500m with a PR of 4:23.40 to take 27th place.  Senior Abigail Robertson led the team in the women's 5,000m with a time of 16:23.71 to finish 28th, while sophomore Sierra Bower posted a time of 36:01.51 to finish 38th in the women's 10,000m.  

In Columbia, Mac Roberts and Emily Little won the men's and women's 3,000m respectively.  Roberts posted a personal-best time of 8:28.28 in the event, while Little took golf with a time of 9:56.67
