GREENVILLE, S.C. --- The Southern Conference kicks off the football preseason with its 2023 Football Media Day on Thursday at Greenville's Hotel Hartness.

Matt Sochovka, along with other league head coaches and players, in meeting the media and previewing the upcoming season.

The afternoon media session will be moderated by WSPA Sports Directory Pete Yanity and is

Preseason coaches and media polls will be announced on Thursday, along with the league's preseason all-conference team, as selected by the coaches.
Hendrix, who is entering his seventh season at the helm of Furman's program, is set to welcome 52 letterman and 20 starters off a 10-3 team that posted seven consecutive wins en route to an at-large bid to the FCS playoffs, where the Paladins claimed a 31-6 first round home win over CAA member Elon. Â Furman finished 2022 a consensus 10th in AFCA and Stats Perform Polls.Â
The Paladins report for preseason camp on Monday, July 31, and begin practice on Wednesday, Aug. 2. Â Fan Fest is slated for Saturday, Aug. 19, in Paladin Stadium.
