Greenville, S.C. – Four Paladins found the back of the net and Furman notched its second shutout in three matches with a 4-0 victory over North Greenville in non-conference women's soccer action Thursday night on Seagraves Field at Stone Stadium.

Hannah Farr opened the scoring just 1:19 into the match when she was taken down inside the box and converted her opportunity from the penalty spot for her first goal of the season. In the 28

Nieva Gaither nodded an
Ashlyn Goila corner kick past NGU goalkeeper Haleigh Holland to double the lead and give the Paladins a 2-0 advantage going into halftime.
Less than four minutes into the second half, Gaither played a ball ahead to junior
Valentina Mosquera behind the NGU defense and the Mt. Pleasant, S.C., native slotted a low shot past the keeper to up the margin to 3-0 at the 48:27 mark. Freshman
Norah Roller capped the scoring at 88:35 with her first collegiate goal. With her back to goal, the forward received a pass in the midfield, touched it wide, and ran away from her defender before finishing her one-versus-one chance with the goalkeeper.
"It was great for our players' confidence to see the ball go in the back of the net several times tonight and we are pleased to get another shutout," said Paladin head coach
Andrew Burr. "Everything we are doing right now is to prepare us for the Southern Conference season, so we'll continue to work to tighten things and up put our players in the best positions to succeed."

Addison Corn and freshman
LJ Wise combined on the shutout for the Paladins as Corn totaled three saves. Holland stopped seven shots for the Crusaders.
The Paladins posted a 17-6 edge in shot attempts and 12-3 margin in shots on target.
Furman (3-0-0) goes for its fourth consecutive win to start the season when it travels to face USC Upstate at County University Stadium at 6 p.m. on Sunday in Spartanburg, S.C.
