Women's Soccer Returns Home Thursday To Host South Carolina State

Kickoff Set For 7 P.M. On ESPN+

Greenville, S.C. – The Furman women's soccer team returns to Stone Stadium on Thursday night when the Paladins play host to the South Carolina State Bulldogs at 7 p.m.

Admission to Thursday's match is free and the contest will be streamed live on ESPN+. Fans can access the live stream and live statistics at FurmanPaladins.com.

Thursday's match is the first home contest for the Paladins, who wrapped up a four-game road swing with a 2-0 loss at South Carolina Sunday evening, since downing North Greenville, 4-0, at Stone Stadium on August 24. The Paladins, 2-0-0 at home this season, are looking to snap a three-game skid that includes losses to nationally-ranked Clemson and South Carolina.

Junior Valentina Mosquera has paced the Paladins (3-3-1) with four goals while senior Addison Corn, who stopped 12 shots on Sunday versus the Gamecocks, leads the SoCon in saves per game (7.0) and ranks third in save percentage (.831).

Furman holds a 3-0-0 lead in the all-time series versus South Carolina State and topped the Bulldogs 6-0 in the most recent meeting at Oliver C. Dawson Stadium in Orangeburg, S.C., on September 11, 2022. Nieva Gaither netted two goals and added an assist in the victory. South Carolina State is 0-5 this season and suffered an 8-0 loss versus Queens last time out.
