CLEMSON, S.C. -- Furman junior Lily Feingold won the women's 5,000m to lead the Furman indoor track and field teams Friday in the opening day of the Clemson Bob Pollock Invitational at the Clemson Indoor Track and Field Complex in Clemson, S.C.
A native of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., posted a time of 17:22.21 to take gold in her collegiate indoor 5K debut.
Also on the women's side, senior Abigail Robertson finished second with a time of 4:46.43 in the mile invitational. Senior Nicole Matysik also competed in the invitational, placing seventh at 4:53.08.
For the men, freshman Brayden Seymour posted a time of 4:15.56 to take 11th place in the mile invitational. In the open mile, junior Nick Goldstein finished 13th at 4:14.06, followed by freshman Chris Knight in 17th place at 4:15.43. Sophomore Colton Kempney crossed the line in 4:21.81 for 30th place. Two Paladin soccer players laced up in the 60m dash, with Lloyd Wamu Snell recording a time of 7.33 and Christian Newman notching a time of 7.54.
The meet will conclude on Saturday with Furman competing in the men's 200m, men's and women's 800m, men's and women's 3,000m, and the women's 4x400m relay.
