Greenville, S.C. – Furman men's soccer goes for its third consecutive victory on Saturday night when it opens Southern Conference play versus UNC Greensboro at UNCG Stadium in Greensboro, N.C.

The Paladins improved to 4-2-2 on the season with a 3-1 victory at USC Upstate on Tuesday night in their first action since downing nationally-ranked College of Charleston, 4-2, on September 17.

The SoCon opener marks the 46
th all-time meeting between Furman and UNCG with the Spartans holding a 22-19-4 series lead. Furman, however, captured a 1-0 victory in last season's meeting on a second half goal from
Slade Starnes.
UNCG comes into Saturday's contest at 5-1-4 overall and 0-0-1 in the league. The Spartans only loss came against nationally-ranked Georgetown while they earned a win over Virginia and draws against Charlotte and West Virginia.
