GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Furman volleyball team will hit the road this weekend for Southern Conference matches at Western Carolina and Chattanooga.
Furman opens the weekend on Friday at 6 p.m. at WCU in Cullowhee, N.C., before heading to Chattanooga, Tenn., Saturday for a 4 p.m. contest.

The Paladins enter the weekend at 8-11 overall and 2-6 in the SoCon after dropping a 3-0 decision at East Tennessee State on Tuesday.
Ava Augustson led the Paladins offensively with nine kills, while Chandler Parker and Grainne McGrath both contributed six. Quinn Morrissey dished out 12 assists, and Emily Navarro compiled 10 assists and seven digs. Kennedy Seekford totaled a team best 21 digs, and Augustson and Ashley Stein posted 12 and 10, respectively.
Western Carolina enters the match versus Furman at 7-15 overall and 1-8 in league play after falling to Samford, 3-0, on Thursday night. The Paladins lead the series, 50-37, after defeating the Catamounts, 3-1, last season.
Chattanooga is 14-10 overall and 4-5 in the SoCon. The Mocs will square off against Mercer on Friday night before facing the Paladins on Saturday. Furman leads the all-time series, 51-30, but Chattanooga picked up a 3-0 win over the Paladins when the teams last met.
After this weekend's road trip, the Paladins will conclude the regular season with a five-match homestand at Alley Gymnasium.
