Greenville, S.C. – The Furman men's basketball team returns home to Bon Secours Wellness Arena to host the Jacksonville Dolphins for a 7 p.m. tip-off on Monday night.

Tickets for Monday's match-up are available for purchase at FurmanPaladins.com. The game will be streamed live on ESPN+ and can be heard on The Fan Upstate at 97.7 FM and 1330 AM in Greenville, 97.1 FM and 1490 AM in Spartanburg, and via the Audacy app. Links for the live stream, audio, and live statistics will be available at FurmanPaladins.com.

The Paladins return home at 2-0 on the season following a thrilling 76-74 victory at Missouri Valley Conference member Belmont on Friday night in Nashville, Tenn. Senior PJay Smith Jr. scored the final five points of the game, including a go-ahead three-pointer with 2.3 seconds left, to lift the Paladins to their third win over the Bruins in three years. Smith, who missed Furman's season-opening win at the Well versus Columbia International due to an injury, poured in a team-high 21 points to go with five rebounds and five assists. Nick Anderson scored 17 points and Garrett Hien added 15 points, six rebounds and six assists.

Furman's victory marked its first win over the Bruins in Nashville. A victory on Monday evening would see the Paladins start 3-0 for the first time since the 2020-21 campaign.

Jacksonville comes to Greenville at 1-1 on the season after dropping an 81-60 decision versus No. 21 Florida on Thursday night. The Dolphins opened the season with a 78-65 win over Trinity Baptist.

Monday's game marks the 16th all-time meeting between the schools with Jacksonville holding an 8-7 series lead. The Dolphins downed the Paladins 65-53 in the last meeting in Jacksonville, Fla., during the 2012-13 season. Furman has won four of the seven encounters in Greenville.

The Southern Conference and Atlantic Sun Conference created a two-year partnership this summer that will see each league school play two games against opponents from the other conference. In addition to Monday's game, Furman is scheduled to travel to Fort Myers, Fla., next month to take on Florida Gulf Coast. The partnership was created to help each league's schools play meaningful games against a similar conference within its regional footprint.

Following Monday's tilt versus Jacksonville, Furman hosts American Athletic Conference member Tulane on Friday night at Bon Secours Wellness Arena.
