Greenville, S.C. – The fourth-seeded Furman Paladins look to book a spot in the Southern Conference Men's Soccer Championship Match when they travel to UNCG Stadium in Greensboro, N.C., to take on the No. 1 seed UNC Greensboro Spartans in semifinal round action Sunday afternoon.

The winner of the Furman-UNCG encounter advances to face either No. 2 seed ETSU or No. 3 seed Wofford on the road in the championship match next weekend.

Lloyd Wamu Snell netted first half goals to lead the Paladins to a 2-0 victory over No. 5 seed Mercer in Friday night's tournament opener in Greensboro.
Aaron Salinas, the SoCon Goalkeeper of the Year, notched the shutout to secure his fourth clean sheet of the year.
UNCG received a first-round bye after claiming the SoCon's regular season championship. The Spartans, who hold a 23-19-4 lead in the all-time series against the Paladins, downed Furman 1-0 in the regular season meeting between the schools last month in Greensboro.
Furman and UNCG have combined to win 21 SoCon Tournament titles since 1988. The Paladins are seeking their 15
thchampionship.
