GREENVILLE, S.C. -- With the score knotted at 3-all, Harvard's Angel You held off Furman junior Jess Dawson in three sets, 7-6(3), 5-7, 6-3, at flight six to lead the Crimson past the Paladins, 4-3, Saturday at the Mickel Tennis Center in Greenville, S.C.

Furman won doubles matches at flights one and three to take the opening point.  Dawson teamed with freshman Maeve Thornton for a 6-3 victory over Holly Fischer and Stephanie Yakoff at number one, and juniors Sara Snyder and Grace Thomas defeated Rachel Arbitman and Iveta Daujotaite, 6-3, at number three.  Paladin junior Ellie Schulson and freshman Macy Hitchcock led Maxi Duncan and Kavya Karra, 5-2, in the unfinished flight two contest. 

In singles action, Kate Kim entered the lineup for Harvard at flight four and posted a quick 6-1, 6-1 advantage over Thomas to even the score at 1-1.  Snyder put the Paladins back on top, 2-1, after defeating Fisher, 6-4, 6-3, at flight one, but the Crimson would win the next two points in three-set thrillers.  Yakoff outlasted Thornton, 6-3, 4-6, 6-2, at number two, and Duncan came from behind for a 2-6, 6-4, 6-2 win over Schulson at number four.  Hitchcock topped Karra, 6-1, 7-5, at flight five to even the score at 3-apiece and set up the decisive flight six match up. 

Furman (1-5) will entertain Liberty Monday at 3 p.m. at the Mickel Tennis Center.
