Pegues, Foster Earn All-SoCon Tournament Honors

Guards Helped The Paladins To SoCon Semis

Asheville, N.C. – Furman junior JP Pegues garnered first team All-SoCon Tournament honors and redshirt senior Marcus Foster was selected to the second team, it was announced on Monday night following the league championship game in Asheville, N.C.
 
The duo helped Furman to a 79-76 overtime victory over Western Carolina in quarterfinal round action on Saturday night before the Paladins dropped an 84-77 decision to eventual tournament champion Samford on Sunday afternoon in the semifinals.
 
Pegues, a native of Nashville, Tenn., averaged 25 points and four assists per game in tournament play while Foster contributed 15 points and 5.5 rebounds per game versus the Catamounts and Bulldogs. 
 
Furman finished the 2023-24 season with a 17-16 record and 10-8 league mark.
