Jenny Jacobson pulled the Paladins level in the second half with her second goal of the afternoon before
Tara Katz netted the game-winning score with less than four minutes to play.
Sunday's match marks the season opener for the Gamecocks, who claimed a 2-0 victory over the Paladins in Columbia last season.
