Greenville, S.C. – The Furman women's soccer team concludes a three-match homestand on Thursday when it hosts instate rival Clemson for Purple Reign on Seagraves Field at Stone Stadium.
Admission is free to Thursday's 7 p.m. match and all Paladin fans are encouraged to wear purple. The first 50 Furman students through the gates will receive an "FU All The Time" t-shirt.
Furman enters the match at 1-3-0 after suffering a 2-1 loss to Davidson on Sunday afternoon. The Paladins have dropped three straight after a 3-2 win at Charleston Southern in the season opener. Clemson fell 4-0 in its season opener at Auburn before bouncing back with shutout victories over High Point and West Virginia to improve to 2-1-0 on the year.
Clemson claimed a 4-1 victory in last season's meeting between the schools with
Norah Roller netting the Paladins' lone goal. Furman is 4-15-1 in 20 previous meetings versus the Tigers.
