Greenville, S.C. – The Furman men's soccer team continues its non-conference schedule on Wednesday evening when it travels to face the Davidson Wildcats.

The Paladins slipped to 2-2-1 on the season with a 3-0 loss versus ACC Member Virginia Tech on Sunday afternoon at Stone Soccer Stadium. Ethan Hackenberg put the Hokies in front from the penalty spot in the first half and Virginia Tech added a pair of goals in the final 15 minutes of the match to remain unbeaten on the year.
Wednesday's contest marks the 60
th all-time meeting between Furman and its former Southern Conference rival Davidson. The Paladins hold a 32-24-3 series lead, but the Wildcats claimed a 3-1 decision in last season's meeting in Greenville, S.C.
Davidson enters Wednesday's match at 0-3-1 after consecutive draws versus High Point, Campbell, and UNC Greensboro.
Following its trip to Davidson, Furman visits College of Charleston on Tuesday, September 17, before hosting Gardner-Webb on September 24.
