Paladins Host ETSU At 7 P.M. On Wednesday At The Well

Greenville, S.C. – Dillon Bailey poured in 19 points and Corey Tripp scored 11 of his 16 points in the first half as Wofford led wire-to-wire en route to an 81-62 victory over Furman on Monday evening at Bon Secours Wellness Arena.

Wofford (9-8, 3-1 SoCon) scored the game's first eight points and reeled off a 27-8 run later in the opening half by holding the Paladins without a basket for over nine minutes before Charles Johnston hit a three at the buzzer to trim the deficit to 40-20 at the break. The Paladins shot just 20% in the opening half, including 2-for-17 behind the arc.

Furman's offense came alive in the second half and totaled 42 points over the final 10 minutes, but Wofford connected on 8-of-13 three-point tries in the second half to not allow the Paladins to get closer than 17 points.

Bailey drained 5-of-7 looks from behind the arc to score his game-high 19 points while Tripp went 6-of-10 from the field. Jackson Sivills added 12 points and Kyler Filewich finished with nine points and a game-high 12 rebounds.

The Terriers shot over 47% from the floor and converted on 13-of-32 three-point tries while fashioning a 52-35 advantage on the glass that included 20 offensive rebounds. Wofford totaled 19 second-chance points and outscored the Paladins 34-28 in the paint.

Johnston hit on 4-of-8 three-point attempts to lead Furman with 14 points and seven rebounds. Guard Nick Anderson added 12 points and a game-high three steals. The Paladins shot just 33.3%, including 8-for-34 from three-point range.
