GREENVILLE, S.C. -- The Furman track and field teams are set to compete Thursday through Saturday at the Raleigh Relays at the Paul Derr Track & Field Facility on the campus of N.C. State in Raleigh, N.C.
On Thursday, Furman will run in the men's 1,500m, 5,000m, 10,000m, while Friday's events include the women's 400m, 1,500m, 5,000m, 10,000m, and 3,000m Steeplechase. The Paladin women will compete in the 800m on Saturday.
Furman opened the outdoor season last weekend at the 49er Classic in Charlotte, N.C. Senior Nicole Matysik won the 1,500m with a time of 4:28.01 to lead the women, and junior Colton Kempney took second place with a time of 9:33.71 in the 3,000m Steeplechase, and sophomore Owen Shifflett finished second in the 5,000m invitational with a time of 14:24.03 to pace the men. Furman recorded 11 top-11 finishes in the season opener.
