GREENVILLE, S.C. -- No. 45 Furman will square off against No. 21 UCF in Raleigh, N.C., Friday at 1 p.m. at J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center in the opening round of the 2025 NCAA Women's Tennis Team Championships. Admission is free to the event.
The Paladins (21-3), who earned a No. 3 seed for just the fifth time in program history, will square off against the Knights (22-3) in the eighth meeting between the two schools. The teams last met in 2021, when UCF slipped past Furman, 4-3, in Orlando, Fla. The Knights lead the all-time series, 4-3.
The winner of Friday's match will advance to face either 11th-ranked N.C. State or Charleston Southern on Saturday at 5 p.m.

The Paladins are part of a 64-team field that is competing at regional sites May 2-3 for rounds one and two, with 32 teams advancing to the super regionals, which will be held May 9-11. The team championship is scheduled for May 15-18 at the Hurd Tennis Center in Waco, Texas.
Furman, which secured the Southern Conference's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament by capturing its 22nd SoCon Championship, is making its 15th appearance in the NCAA tournament.
