Furman's Males Places Sixth In 1,500m At Music City Challenge

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Freshman Nysa Males placed sixth in the 1,500m to pace the Furman women's track and field team this weekend at the Music City Challenge at the Vanderbilt Outdoor Track Complex.

A native of Bolinda, Melbourne, Males recorded a personal-best time of 4:22.75 in the race.

In the 800m, freshman Jais Ward finished seventh at 2:09.14, while senior Megan Marvin turned in a time of 2:10.74 for tenth place.  

The Paladins will compete at the Southern Conference Championship, May 12-13, in Birmingham, Ala.
