GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Furman athletics department recognized eight award winners during its Senior Student-Athlete Ceremony on Thursday evening at Furman University's Younts Conference Center.

Honorees included Evan DiMaggio (football), DJ Durham (football), Molly Faul (women's lacrosse), Lily Feingold (cross country/track & field), Ella Harrison (competitive cheerleading), Megan Marvin (cross country/track & field), Ellie Schulson (women's tennis), and Grace Thomas (women's tennis).

DiMaggio and Marvin received the Dr. Gary Clark Student-Athlete Achievement Award, while Feingold, Harrison, and Thomas were accorded the Elizabeth Blackwell Academic Achievement Award and Durham the John M. Block Academic Achievement Award.

DiMaggio and Schulson both were recognized with the Bryce Stanfield Iron Paladin, which is named in honor of the former Paladin who passed away suddenly on Feb. 9, 2024. It is "presented to high achievers in the weight room who exemplify an elite standard in work ethic, attitude, and accountability."

Faul was presented the Shining Knight Award, which is awarded "to a senior Paladin who exudes positivity and optimism, has demonstrated extraordinary support of Furman Athletics, and consistently puts others before self."

Senior student-athletes representing all Furman sports, as well as support groups including band, cheerleaders, dance, managers, and trainers, were presented stoles.

DiMaggio, a senior linebacker from Buford, Ga., totaled a Southern Conference leading 120 tackles in 2024 en route to landing first team all-conference honors, as well as Stats Perform All-America accolades.  Elected as a captain by his teammates this past fall, the two-year starter saw action in 54 games and registered 285 tackles during his Paladin tenure, while playing a pivotal role in Furman's 2023 SoCon championship team that went 10-3 and advanced to the FCS playoff quarterfinals with a defense that topped the SoCon and ranked among FCS leaders in virtually every statistical category.  He was a four-time selection to the SoCon Academic Honor Roll, three-time SoCon All-Academic choice, and two-time College Sports Communicators Academic All-District pick who sports a 3.51 grade point average in health sciences.

Durham is a senior safety from Franklin, Tenn., who earned playing time the last two seasons, including Furman's 2023 SoCon championship campaign that saw the Paladins post a 10-3 record and appear in the FCS playoff quarterfinals.  A health sciences major and holder of a 3.86 grade point average, he will finish his Furman tenure as a four-time SoCon Academic Honor Roll selection.

Faul, a native of Bradenton, Fla., appeared in 65 games for the women's lacrosse program and made 18 starts, including a career high 13 this season as the Paladins won a school record 14 games and clinched a share of the Big South Regular Season Championship for the first time in program history. She compiled 23 career points on 17 goals and six assists while contributing 54 ground balls, 24 caused turnovers, and 14 draws. Faul recently received the Max and Trude Heller Commitment To Community Award by Furman's Shucker Leadership Institute. A communication studies major, Faul has been named to the Big South Presidential Honor Roll, SoCon Academic Honor Roll, and IWLCA Academic Honor Roll. She is active in community outreach through Valiant Player, Shriners Children's Hospital Greenville, was a teacher assistant at Emma Mini School, and served as president of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

She was recently accorded first place recognition for her sports story, "Born To Fight," which profiled the story of Anastasiia Savchenko '27, a Ukrainian national taekwondo champion who fled Ukraine with her family following the outbreak of war. The citation was presented at the Southeast Student Production Awards, hosted by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. A member of Phi Beta Kappa, Harrison helped the Paladins to a recent 10th-place performance in the Intermediate All Girl Division I at the 2025 NCA College Nationals in Daytona Beach, Fla.

A three-time NCAA individual qualifier from Chapel Hill, N.C., Marvin earned an All-American citation in the 1,500m in 2022. She holds the Furman record with 17 SoCon titles, including eight individual championships, four relay titles, and five-straight SoCon cross country team titles. Marvin, who owns five Paladin program records and two SoCon Championship standards, is a two-time team captain who has guided Furman's middle distance program, which has thrived since her arrival.

A mathematics-economics major with a 3.91 GPA, Marvin was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa and was honored this spring with the C.
