GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Furman men's tennis team has been honored as an ITA All-Academic Team, and six Paladins were selected 2024-25 ITA Scholar-Athletes, it was announced today by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA).
The ITA All-Academic Team award is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or above (on a 4.00 scale). All varsity letter winners must be factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year (including fall 2024 and spring 2025) to be considered for the award.
In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status, a player must be a varsity letter winner and have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year.

The Paladins are coming off their first appearance in the SoCon Men's Tennis Championship finals since 2019 and finished last year 9-15 overall and 3-4 in the SoCon. Furman concluded the year winning three of its last four matches including a 4-3 upset of top-seeded East Tennessee State in the semifinals of the SoCon Men's Tennis Championship.
