GREENVILLE, S.C. –
Furman placed 53 student-athletes on the Spring 2025 Academic All-Southern Conference Team, it was announced today by the league office.

To be eligible for the academic all-conference team, student-athletes must carry at least a 3.3 cumulative grade-point average at the conclusion of the spring semester and were required to compete in at least one-half of their teams' competitions during the recently concluded campaign. In addition, the student-athletes must have successfully completed at least three semesters at their institutions, making true freshmen and first-year transfers ineligible for inclusion.

With seven honorees apiece, Furman's women's tennis and softball topped the Paladin contingent, followed by women's indoor track & field and women's outdoor track & field with six apiece. Men's indoor track & field and men's outdoor track & field followed with five each while men's golf, men's tennis, and women's basketball contributed four. Women's golf and men's basketball rounded out with three and two selections, respectively.

A total of 507 SoCon student-athletes earned 602 spots on the academic all-conference team. The 602 selections are the fourth-most in the history of the team.

30 SoCon student-athletes maintained perfect 4.0 cumulative GPAs. Furman's four honorees tied with UNC Greensboro for third in the conference.
