GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Furman quarterback
Trey Hedden has been selected Southern Conference Offensive Player of the Week, it was announced today.
Hedden, a 6-foot-3, 228-pound sophomore, completed 26-of-35 passes for a career high 314 yards and two touchdowns in the Paladins' 28-24 road triumph over Campbell on Saturday.
His touchdown strikes covered 24 and 30 yards, with the 30-yarder coming with 4:50 remaining to cap a  nine-play, 90-yard drive that saw him connect on his final six attempts.  Furman outscored Campbell 10-0 in the fourth quarter to erase a 24-18 deficit.Â
The Tampa, Fla., native was a SoCon All-Freshman Team selection in 2024.
Idle this coming Saturday, Furman (2-1) kicks off Southern Conference play on Sept. 27 at Samford.
