Greenville, S.C. – Furman looks to stretch its unbeaten run to six matches when the Paladins visit Alumni Stadium in Davidson, N.C., to take on the Davidson Wildcats in non-conference women's soccer action Sunday afternoon.

The Paladins (4-1-1) extended their unbeaten run to five matches with a 2-2 draw versus USC Upstate at County University Stadium in Spartanburg, S.C., on Thursday night. Furman overcame an early 1-0 deficit with goals from
Alyssa England and
Emma Sexton, but Upstate equalized on Dara Russo's second goal of the night following a second-half lightning delay to earn a share of the points.
Sunday's clash marks the 37
th all-time meeting between the Paladins and Wildcats with Furman holding a commanding 23-10-3 series lead. Davidson (3-1-1), however, erased a 1-0 Paladin lead with two goals in the final nine minutes to capture a 2-1 decision in the most recent meeting between the schools last season. Davidson's Thursday evening match versus Radford was suspended due to weather. Previously, the Wildcats claimed a 1-0 victory over North Carolina State and played to a scoreless draw against Charleston Southern.
Following Sunday's match, Furman concludes its three-game road swing with a 6 p.m. kickoff at UNC Asheville on Thursday, September 11, before hosting Mercer in the SoCon opener on Thursday, September 18.
