Greenville, S.C. – All fans, supporters, and alumni are invited to join the Furman men's basketball team to celebrate the Paladins' Southern Conference championship and watch the NCAA Men's Basketball Championship Selection Show on Sunday at 6 p.m. in Timmons Arena. 
 
Admission to the event is free and doors to the event will open at 5 p.m. with a brief program set for 5:30 p.m. featuring remarks from players, coaches, and administrators. The selection show will be live on CBS at 6 p.m.
 
Fans will have the opportunity to take a picture with the Southern Conference championship trophy. Concessions and championship merchandise will be available for purchase.
 
Furman (22-12) captured its second SoCon Tournament title in the last four seasons with a 76-61 victory over No. 1 seed East Tennessee State on Monday night in the SoCon finals at Harrah's Cherokee Center – Asheville in Asheville, N.C. The championship marked the eighth for the Furman, which will return to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2023 when it stunned No. 4 seed Virginia, 68-67, in first round play.
