GREENVILLE, S.C. -- The Furman women's tennis team will play host to Elon Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Mickel Tennis Center in Greenville.
The Paladins (8-3) are riding a five-match winning streak after beating Florida Gulf Coast and Toledo in Florida during last week's spring break trip then returning home to defeat Belmont and Virginia Tech over the weekend. Freshmen Lillie Murphy and Elle Warren, who competed at the NCAA Doubles Championship in the fall, are ranked 34th nationally in doubles, while freshmen Sasha Dimitrov and Murphy are ranked 63rd nationally after notching spring wins over Iowa and Austin Peay.
Former SoCon foe Elon (7-3) had a four-match winning streak of its own snapped Wednesday by No. 66 South Alabama, 4-3. Furman leads the all-time series, 17-3, after topping the Phoenix, 4-1, last season in Elon. The Paladins have won five of the last six meetings, dating back to 2014, and all four contests since Elon left the SoCon to join the CAA.
Live scoring and live statistics for the match will be available on the Furman website.
