GREENVILLE, S.C. --  The Furman men's golf team will compete Sunday through Tuesday at the Michael A. Marino Championship at the par 72, 7,370 yard Dunes Golf & Beach Club in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

"The Dunes Beach and Golf Club is one of the best tests of golf we play all season," said Furman head coach Matt Davidson, the reigning SoCon Coach of the Year, who is in his eighth year leading the Paladin program.  "It definitely challenges you tee to green, and is always in fantastic condition. The field is strong as always, and we are looking forward to the challenge both the course and the competition will provide!"

Furman's lineup for the tournament includes senior Harris Barth, senior Zach Frazer, senior Clark Akers, sophomore Ludvig Josefsson, and junior Fisher Kennedy.  Sophomore David Oliver will compete as an individual.

The Paladins will be joined in the 16-team field by host Coastal Carolina, No. 47 Little Rock, Kent State, Liberty, Michigan, Missouri, Louisiana, Charleston, 50th-ranked Florida Gulf Coast, North Florida, Kansas State, No. 33 Louisville, N.C. State, Baylor, and 37th-ranked UNLV.

The 54-hole tournament begins at 8 a.m. on Sunday.  The Paladins will tee off on No. 10 starting at 9:30 a.m. and will play in a group with N.C. State and Baylor in the tournament's first round.  Admission to the tournament is free and fans are welcome.  Live tournament scoring will be available via Scoreboard by clippd.

Furman opened the 2025-26 season at the Gopher Invitational, where Akers and Frazer each shot 4-over to tie for 20th.  The Paladins surged into eighth place as a team after recording a final-round 284.  Barth then won the individual title at the Bearcat Invitational, marking the first individual victory of his career, with scores of 67-69-68=204, and led Furman with a sixth-place finish at SMU's Trinity Forest Invitational.  The Paladins closed out the fall with a fifth-place finish at the Furman Intercollegiate.
