GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Furman women's tennis team begins Southern Conference play this week when it travels to Western Carolina and UNC Greensboro for a pair of matches over the span of three days.
The Paladins (8-4, 0-0 SoCon) travel to Western Carolina on Thursday afternoon to face the Catamounts at 1:30 p.m. before heading to UNC Greensboro Saturday for a 1 p.m. contest.

Furman saw its five-match winning streak come to an end last Saturday with a 4-1 loss to Elon at Mickel Tennis Center. Freshmen Lillie Murphy and Elle Warren, who competed at the NCAA Doubles Championship in the fall, are ranked 31st nationally in doubles, while freshmen Sasha Dimitrov and Murphy are ranked 43rd nationally after notching spring wins over Iowa and Austin Peay.
Western Carolina currently sits at 2-10 overall and 0-1 in the SoCon, and UNC Greensboro is 1-12 for the year and 0-2 in conference play.
The Paladins travel to Macon, Ga., next Tuesday, March 24 to face Mercer at 2:30 p.m.
