GREENVILLE, S.C. -- The Furman track and field teams will open the 2026 outdoor season Thursday through Saturday at the Raleigh Relays at the Paul Derr Track & Field Facility on the campus of N.C. State in Raleigh, N.C.
On Thursday, Furman will run in the men's 1,500m, 5,000m, 10,000m, while Friday's events include the men's 100m and 400m plus the women's 400m, 1,500m, 5,000m, and 3,000m Steeplechase. The Paladin women will compete in the 800m on Saturday, while the men will finish out the meet with the 4x400m.

The Furman men's indoor track and field team finished as runner-up at the 2026 SoCon Championship. The Paladin men scored 129 points, marking the highest indoor championship point total in program history, and brought home a trophy for the first time since 1976 when Furman won the men's SoCon indoor meet.
Furman's Tessa Walter was honored as the SoCon Indoor Track Female Freshman of the Year after winning both the 3,000m and 5,000m at last month's league championship meet. The Paladin women's team won four events and registered 94 total points for a fourth-place performance.
