GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Furman women's lacrosse team will play its final scheduled home game of the season Saturday afternoon when it hosts the High Point Panthers in Big South Conference action at 2 p.m. from Paladin Stadium.

Prior to Saturday's home finale, the Paladins will honor their eight seniors in
Madigan Brewer,
Grace Gibson,
Reynolds Hester,
Skylar Hilmer,
Shae Insinga,
Blaine Randolph,
Abby Shearer, and
Audrey Smith.
Furman (7-7, 3-2 Big South) is coming off a 13-6 defeat to league-leading Mercer on Wednesday at Paladin Stadium. The Paladins finished with 19 shots, 11 ground balls, nine draws, and three caused turnovers.
Insinga and
Lily Toole, who scored her 100
th career goal in the contest, both recorded three points to lead Furman. Insinga scored a team high three goals while Toole provided two assists and one goal.
Emily Muir tied her career best of two goals. Defensively,
Lilly Dyer totaled three ground balls and two caused turnovers. Smith and
Charlotte Kent both won three draws. Brewer, who also tallied her 100
th career save on Wednesday, and
Sam Melville combined for 13 saves in goal.
High Point enters the matchup tied for second in the Big South standings with a 4-8 overall record and 4-1 mark in league play. The Panthers, currently riding a three-game winning streak, are under the direction of 16
th-year head coach Lyndsey Boswell.
The Paladins are facing High Point for the ninth time in program history with the Panthers holding a 7-1 advantage in the all-time series.
Furman begins a two-game road trip to close out the regular season next Saturday, April 18, traveling to Rock Hill, S.C., for a 1 p.m. opening draw at Winthrop.
