GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Furman's Elle Warren has been chosen the Southern Conference women's tennis player of the week, for all matches played from April 7-13, the conference announced on Tuesday.  The award is selected by the league office.

Warren, who also won the honor on Jan. 27 and March 31, led Furman to a 6-1 win at ETSU on April 11, which clinched the SoCon regular season title for the Paladins.  Furman and ETSU each came into the dual unbeaten in SoCon play.  A freshman from Canton, Ohio, Warren combined with teammate Lillie Murphy for a 7-5 doubles win, before getting a 6-4, 7-5 victory in singles.  Warren completed in flight one in both match ups. 

Furman enters the SoCon Tennis Championship as the No. 1 seed and will face No. 8 seed Western Carolina in the quarterfinals at the Champions Club in Chattanooga, Tenn., at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday.
