Furman Men’s Tennis Places Three On CSC Academic All-District Team

GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Furman men's tennis team had a total of three student-athletes placed on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, it was announced on Tuesday.

Junior Walker Allen, and sophomores Nicolas Dispas and Evan Duggal were each honored with a selection.

A two-time CSC Academic All-District selection, Allen guided the Paladins in singles play this season, finishing with a team high nine wins. The Cumming, Ga., native compiled a 9-8 singles record, including a 5-2 mark in the SoCon, while playing at No. 2, No. 3, No. 4, and No. 5. He combined for seven wins at No. 4 and No. 5 while securing conference wins over UNC Greensboro, Mercer, Chattanooga, The Citadel, and Wofford. Allen also picked up two doubles wins competing at No. 3. He has a perfect 4.0 GPA and is majoring in physics.

Dispas was a second team All-SoCon pick for doubles in 2026 after leading the team with 11 doubles triumphs. He teamed with Nico Snyder to collect 10 wins at No. 1 doubles highlighted by one ranked win, a 6-3 victory over Dayton's 77th-ranked pair of Kyle McNally and Sturle Skigelstrand. The duo recorded SoCon wins versus UNC Greensboro, Mercer, The Citadel, and Wofford. In singles, the Biot, France, native collected five wins. He has a 3.8 GPA and is currently majoring in business administration.

Duggal concluded the year tied for third on the team in singles victories playing at two different spots. The Lexington, Ky., native captured seven singles win highlighted by four at No. 4. He went 4-2 in SoCon play with victories against UNC Greensboro, Mercer, Chattanooga, and The Citadel. In doubles, Duggal registered eight wins at No. 2 with teammate Landon Ecarma and compiled a 5-1 SoCon record. He boasts a 3.8 GPA and is majoring in business administration.

Nominations and voting for the CSC Academic All-America programs are conducted by members of the College Sports Communicators, formerly College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

CSC Academic All-District Team selections were required to have posted a 3.50 or better GPA, completed at least two semesters at their current school, played in at least half their team's competitions and be considered a starter or key contributor. Freshmen student-athletes were not eligible.

Each school was also limited in the number of selections it could nominate for each sport.
